"At Genentech, a culture of academic rigor is supported by a world-class drug discovery infrastructure, creating the perfect environment to discover transformational therapies for patients."
I am a trained synthetic chemist turned medicinal chemist and life scientist with special interest in autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.
I grew up in Bavaria and studied chemistry at the University of Wuerzburg. After earning my PhD degree at the ETH Zurich, I carried out postdoctoral research at Harvard University and began my career as medicinal chemist at Novartis in Cambridge, MA, in 2013. In 2020, I joined the Discovery Chemistry Department at Genentech and have been supporting the drug discovery efforts within the Immunology Department as Senior Scientist and Chemistry Team Leader.
