Haiming Zhang
Distinguished Scientist and Director, Small Molecule Process Chemistry, Drug Discovery

Haiming obtained both his B.S. and M.S. degrees from the University of Science and Technology of China and his Ph.D. from Iowa State University under the direction of Prof. Richard Larock. He then did two years of postdoc with Prof. Brian Stoltz at Caltech. Haiming started his industrial career at Lexicon Pharmaceuticals in Princeton NJ in 2005 and joined Genentech in 2010. He is currently a Distinguished Scientist and Director in the Small Molecule Process Chemistry department at Genentech.
