I joined the Prescient Design (Machine Learning for Drug Discovery) team at Genentech in 2024. Here, I work on developing machine learning and other computational methods for problems in chemistry and biology integral to drug discovery. Previously, I was a postdoc in the Chemical Engineering Department at MIT and before that, I completed my PhD in the Machine Learning Group (Dept. of Engineering) at the University of Cambridge. During my PhD I was also affiliated and did a placement at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems.

As a Machine Learning Scientist in the small molecules team at Prescient Design, I help research, develop, and apply new machine learning (ML) and AI methods for drug discovery. This involves working with scientists and experts across disciplines to understand problem areas and ensure the algorithms developed meet critical needs. In designing new molecular modeling methods, I am particularly interested in ensuring that they are robust and can scale, such that they can work in real-world situations.
