To support diverse and talented graduating high school seniors from South San Francisco, CA who plan to pursue a post-secondary degree in STEM fields, the Genentech Futurelab Scholarship issues 10 awards each year totalling up to $425,000 and including two four-year scholarships of up to $50,000 per year.
Futurelab scholarships enable local students to realize aspirations that once seemed out of reach, and connect them to the dynamic STEM career opportunities available right in their own backyard. In 2021, eight Futurelab Scholarship recipients worked at Genentech in various roles including summer internships and long term positions.
Futurelab Scholarship recipients are paving the way to future scientific breakthroughs in a wide range of STEM fields including neuroscience, computer science, aerospace engineering and biotechnology.
